Tío Francisco Queso Cotija Wins Top Award

It’s nice to be recognized for the work and craftsmanship we put into our Mexican-style cheeses and creams. The American Cheese Society (ACS) has awarded Tío Francisco Queso Cotija with its coveted First Place Award for Ripened, aged over 90 days, all milks category.

“We put our heart and soul into making the finest and tastiest cheeses and creams,” said Tomas Rizo, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Rizo Lopez Foods. “Being recognized as the best during the American Cheese Society 2022 Judging and Competition Awards is incredible validation and proof we continue to deliver authentic, great tasting products for our customers.”

The American Cheese Society boasts more than 2,600 members. The nonprofit provides advocacy, education, business development and networking opportunities for cheesemakers, retailers, enthusiasts and the extended industry.
